Privacy policy

Translation for your convenience – the German version is legally binding.

1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is STRIKE — Art und Artist, reachable at info@strike-art-artist.com.

2. What data is collected
This website has three forms: the request on the “Request” page and, on the home page, the sign-up “For artists & performers” and the sign-up “For workshop providers”. We process the details you enter there, for example name, email address, art form or category, region, country or town, phone, company, date, number of people, budget, links and your message. When you submit, the details are sent by email to info@strike-art-artist.com and stored in the mailbox. There is no separate database. An automatic confirmation of receipt is sent to the email address you entered. To prevent misuse, an encrypted checksum (hash) of the IP address and the email address is stored for this purpose for no more than 24 hours.

3. Purpose and legal basis
The processing takes place solely to receive and answer your request or your interest in working with STRIKE (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual steps taken at your request).

4. Storage period
Details from the forms are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and are deleted afterwards.

5. Cookies, browser storage and anonymous usage counting
This website uses no cookies and no external analytics, tracking or advertising services. Your browser only stores what is needed to use the site: the language you chose (“strike_lang”), whether you closed the language note (“strike_hinweis_weg”, only until you close the browser) and a search wish you enter on the “Discover” page, until it reaches the request form (“strike_wunsch”, deleted straight away after that).
So that we can see which offers people look for, we anonymously count what is tapped on the “Discover” and “Request” pages. We only store the time, the event (e.g. “category tapped”), the ID of the category, occasion or country, the page language and, if present, a source code from the link (e.g. from a flyer). STRIKE stores neither your IP address nor any other feature that could identify you. We also count visits to all pages anonymously. We only store the time, the page visited, the language of the page and of your browser, and the country derived from your device’s time zone – without your IP address and without cookies. So that a visit is not counted twice, your browser remembers until it is closed that the page has already been counted (“strike_b_…”). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in aligning our offer with demand (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The counting data is deleted after 12 months. For the technical server log files at IONOS, see section 6.

6. Hosting and email
This website and the mailbox are run by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit the website, IONOS processes technically necessary data such as IP address and time of access in server log files (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with IONOS.

7. Videos in artist profiles
Videos in artist profiles are normally stored on our own web space at IONOS. If a video from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) or Vimeo is embedded, it only loads when you click “Play video”. Only then is data such as your IP address transferred to the provider, possibly also to the USA, and the provider may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Without a click, no connection to these providers is made.

8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Just contact us at info@strike-art-artist.com.
